Pseudolarix kaempferi

Pseudolarix kaempferi

(golden pine, water tree),is a deciduous member of Pseudolarix (Pinaceae), a genus having only one species. Inparticular, P. kaempferi is the legacy species of Tertiary period,   which is now under national protection ofsecond class. Moreover, P. kaempferi is one of the  world's five largest ornamental tree species,while the others are Cedrus deodara, Sciadopitys verticillata, Araucaria cunninghamii and Sequoia sempervirens.

Distribution

Only single plant has been found both in Waxiepai village and Caopandi village(Yingshan county, Taohuachong town)
