Wang’ershi(Awaiting-the-son’s Return Stone)


Grotesquely-shapedgranite rock. The rock mass is Middle Jurassic (170 Ma) gneissic granite andgranodiorite with well developed joints and fractures. The grotesquely-shapedrock landscape is formed due to long periods of spherical weathering, rainwaterscouring and gravitational collapse, which looks like a mother and her sonembracing each other and is thus named Wang’ershi (Awaiting-the-son’s returnStone).
